Works made during an artist residency at Foundation OBRAS, Portugal.

Each morning during my residency I made a slow walk in the summer heat around the land at Foundation OBRAS, paying attention to my sense of presence and making a note of feelings as they arose. 


A series of papers with words written describing emotions and feelings, made during an artist residency at Foundation OBRAS in Portugal.

When written down as a whole the words form a kind of dancing poem that show the momentary and often conflicting emotions that pass through. These feeling states became the basis of the drawings that I made each afternoon in the studio.
